My little Z is two :)

We wanted to make sure Zara had an extra great party this year to make up for last years. We talked to her about having a bounce house at her party and she talked about it for at least a month before her birthday. She would remind us that she wanted a "cool bouncehouse." I asked her one day if she wanted a princess bouncehouse at her party, so then she started saying she wanted  a "cool princess bouncehouse." The company we rented from actually dropped off the bouncehouse the day before and picked it up the day after her party. So she got lots of extra jumping time. She was so sad when it was gone, I'm pretty sure she thought she got to keep it! The party was princess theme and Zara had such a fun time :)

A couple pictures from her 2 year old session w/ mom!

And now her party....
I asked her how old she was. It was a very confusing question!

 Custom princess birthday cake :)

We call her "Z" for short. Another one of Paul's famous birthday signs!

The only foods Zara willingly eats are breakfast foods and fruit. So we decided to do exactly that for the food at her party. My mom brought a pizza breakfast casserole (Zara tends to enjoy cereal or pancakes, but this was more for the adults!) and we had fresh strawberries, bananas, yougurts and individual applesauces. It was the perfect variety for her and all the other kids :)

Paul's childhood friend Jake and his family were in town visiting. So they got to come to her party too! They have a little girl named Reese. She and Zara are just a few days apart, they were instant little friends :)

She got that monkey from Brynn and carried it around for the rest of the day. So cute!!

Love her silly faces. She always keeps us laughing!

Joni had an extra special present she got for the girls from Paris. They opened these right after the party. Kitana was overjoyed! These dolls are impossible to find. Elsa is right up there w/ Kitana pink blanket. I honestly don't think she would be able to choose between the two of them.

 Opening her gift from Kitana.
This is the gift Kitana got her. So thoughtful and they had lots of fun playing with it. Unfortuantely I'm a paranoid mom and won't let her use it in her room. It's one of those lightbulbs that gets really hot. I'm afraid of it burning Zara and/or burning our house down. I need to get her a nice safe LED one :)

Her gift from mom and dad <3

She got three purses from her party. She was in heaven! She carried them around with her dollars the rest of the day. The picture on the right is on her actual birthday day at church. I let her bring her blankie in as a special treat. Normally it has to stay in the car.

We love the joy our little two year old Zara brings to our family. There is never a dull moment with her around! She is still very sensitive and gets upset easily. She is also just hilarious and says some of the funniest and random things. She can be challenging and stubborn at times, but she also gives the best kisses. She still loves for mommy to hold her and is a very adaptable little girl. We love her so!
