Here are a few highlights from our lake trip this year. We went in June this time and it was sure nice to beat the heat! It was still dang hot, but definitely a bit more manageable than going in July or August. Zara is very sensitive to heat and gets super grumpy...I don't know how she could have survived it being any hotter than it already was. Joni rented a house out there for us all to stay in. The kids had soooo much fun playing and sleeping in the same place. Being under one roof meant that Paul and I got to have two date nights while we were there. We sure felt spoiled!!
It was fun to actually enjoy the lake this year. Last year we didn't go and the year before that Zara was brand new so I spent most of the time in the hotel room with her. So fun to have two real kids and no babies. Zara did great w/ her potty training while we were there. It took a little bit of time to re-adjust her once we got back home. She got used to peeing in the water and got a little confused! She took all of her naps perfectly on the boat. Kitana went snorkeling for the first time and had so much fun playing with Livia for the week. Until next year!
