Well, Kitana gave us quite the scare this past weekend. On Saturday night around 10pm she had a seizure. After being rushed to the ER by ambulance she was diagnosed with pneumonia. They had to take some blood, use a catheter for a urine sample, and even do a chest X-ray. We found out that she actually had a febrile seizure which is caused by her temperature spiking too high rapidly. These are apparently pretty common in toddlers, but it scared us to death! We were quickly reminded that every moment we have with her is precious and not to take any of them for granted. She is recovering well and almost back to her normal self :)
Her medicine counter. At first she hated her medicine, but by the end she was requesting it...funny girl!
Watching Dora w/ daddy. She doesn't watch TV too often, so this was a special treat for the sick girl.
As you can see she was doing much better w/ in a couple days. She even felt well enough to help make dinner. (she has also learned how to cover her mouth when she coughs!)
She is the cutest little girl ever! I love that last picture!!!! I am SO glad she is ok. I can't even imagine what that must have been like to see her so sick. You are a trooper Falon!!
ReplyDeleteSo scary! I am very very glad everything is okay! That last picture of her is adorable. And good job teaching her to cover her mouth when she coughs. It's an important lesson :)
ReplyDeleteLove you guys!
